How it works
Simple by design.
Kindr is not a structured program. There are no case files, no mandatory hours, no reporting. You show up the way that works for you — and job seekers connect with you directly based on what you offer.
Once your profile is live in the coach directory, approved Kindr members can browse coaches, see what you help with, and book time with you directly through your Calendly link — or reach out to you through the community if you prefer a more informal intro.
Appointments are between you and the job seeker. You set the terms, the format, and the frequency. We just make the introduction possible.
📅 Accepting appointments
Add your Calendly link to your profile and job seekers can book directly. No back-and-forth needed. If you don't use Calendly, they'll connect with you through the community and you can coordinate from there.
🔄 Updating your availability
Life gets busy. Log into your coach profile anytime to update your availability grid or toggle your visibility off if you need a break. No explanation needed — just flip the switch.
💬 The community
Our Pumble community has a dedicated #meet-the-coaches and #ask-a-coach channel. Drop in when you have a few minutes. Even a quick answer to someone's question makes a difference.
🌱 No minimum
One conversation. One office hours session a month. Ongoing mentorship. Whatever you can give is enough. You can always do more or less as your capacity changes.
Your commitment
You choose how much.
There's no wrong answer here. Pick the level that fits your life right now — and change it anytime.
One conversation
A single call with someone who needs a fresh perspective. No ongoing commitment. Just show up once when you have it to give.
Monthly office hours
A 30-minute open slot once a month. Anyone in the community can book in. Low lift, high impact.
Ongoing mentorship
A longer relationship with one or two job seekers. Check in regularly, watch them grow, celebrate when they land.
How we show up
Our community values.
The people you'll be talking to are often exhausted, discouraged, and quietly ashamed of still being in a search. A few things matter more than anything else when you're working with them.
Confidentiality
What a job seeker shares with you stays between you. Their search stage, their struggles, their personal context — none of it gets shared outside that conversation without their consent. This is non-negotiable.
Kindness over advice
Sometimes people need to be heard before they need to be helped. Lead with curiosity and warmth. The tactical stuff matters — but feeling like someone actually gives a damn matters more.
Respect
No judgment about their industry, their gap, their choices, or how long they've been searching. Job searching is hard and humbling. Treat everyone with the dignity they deserve.
Know your limits
If someone shares something that feels beyond the scope of career coaching — mental health struggles, financial crisis, signs of serious distress — you don't have to handle it alone. Acknowledge what they've shared, validate it, and gently point them toward professional support. A list of Canadian resources is below.
Refer with care
If a job seeker asks about something outside your expertise — a specific industry you don't know, a legal situation, mental health — it's okay to say so. Refer them to someone who can actually help rather than guessing. That's not a limitation, that's integrity.
What you get
We show up for you too.
We know you're giving your time for free. We don't take that lightly. Here's what we offer in return:
A profile in the Kindr coach directory — visible to a growing community of motivated Canadian professionals who will remember the people who helped them.
Featured coach spotlights — we regularly highlight coaches in our community and content. Your expertise, your story, your brand.
Newsletter features — as Kindr grows its audience, coaches get featured in our newsletter. Real visibility with a relevant audience.
Early access to everything new — new tools, resources, and community features come to coaches first.
A community of peers — you're not alone in this either. Connect with other coaches and recruiters in the community who care about the same things you do.
Our genuine gratitude — Taylor reads every coach profile personally and is always available if you need anything. This community exists because people like you said yes.
We've got you
When to ask us for help.
You don't have to figure everything out alone. If you're ever unsure how to handle a situation, if something a job seeker shared is weighing on you, or if you just need a second opinion — reach out.
We're always here.
Drop a message in the #ask-a-coach channel in Pumble and Taylor or another community manager will respond. For anything more sensitive, email us directly and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. No situation is too small or too awkward to ask about.
